Collages
Collage appeals to me as a medium because it allows me to quickly capture core meanings. Instead of spending hours constructing an image from scratch, I can channel my energy into bringing together the incompatible—creating something entirely new from what already exists and reinterpreting the visual world that came before me.
Unlike starting with a blank canvas or designing a character from a script, working with pre-existing imagery allows me to let go of conscious control. It unearths thoughts and emotions buried deep within my psyche that I might never have discovered on my own.
In these works, I explore different spheres of life—their contradictions, vibrant diversity, and underlying complexity. It is an exploration of how the synergy of color, text, and raw paper aesthetics can give birth to both complex philosophical reflections and simple, everyday truths.
